A stalwart of the Leeds music scene, Pete Melba has been throwing parties and DJing for over 15 years.

Beginning at age 18 with a party at one of Leeds most well-known music hubs Distrikt Bar, Pete has continued his musical journey ever since, running ‘Up North’ events and starting a podcast series.

As well as gracing the turntables at established Leeds venues such as Wire, Mint, Distrikt, Sheaf Street, and Wharf Chambers, Pete has ventured further afield playing at Star Lane Pizza Bar, Boat Live, and The Lot in London, as well as renowned electronic festivals such as Dimensions in Croatia, and Gottwood in the UK.

Pete established his record label Planet Orange – currently on its fourth vinyl release – in early 2020, and has established a reputation as a respected producer, with releases on labels such as Magic Carpet and Oblique Records. He also built our orignial Imaginarium sound system.
